We Got The House!

The house is ours! We signed the papers last Tuesday and two days later (Last Thursday) it was official, everything has been processed, the title has been changed into our name and the house is ours! 100%! Dave and I are very excited and feel extremely blessed that we are able to have this wonderful opportunity and that everything has worked out so well!

Yesterday was the big moving day, we rented a truck in the morning and had help from some of the guys at work, along with my Dad, my brothers Jimmy and David and my sister Chantel and her husband Mike. With so many people helping we were able to move everything pretty quick, it ended up not being bad at all.

Now that the house it ours and all our belongings have been moved over, all we have left to do is unpack and then decorate!

Work Party

This post is a little late but I decided better late then never! There was a work party the day before Halloween last month, everyone dressed up and there were games and treats. It turned out to be really fun, everyone at work gets along really well so it felt more like friends getting together and having a party instead of just a plain old work party.

Dave dressed up as an Italian Chef, and it turned out great! We made a fake pizza for him to hold, got him a huge fake mustache and he stuffed his belly with a pillow to get that 'Italian Chef' look! We pulled this costume together the night before the party but everyone loved it and he ended up winning first place in the costume contest!

One of the games that was played was bobbing for apples! David (my brother) went first, it was the first time he has ever played and he ended up doing really well. But this game ended up getting really intense and people got very competitive!

I kept yelling 'go all the way in!' and 'you have to go completely under to win!' to everyone who played the game and finally someone listened... (I honestly didn't think anyone would do it!)

I held the stop watch to determine who would was the fastest . The winning time ended up being 1 second! Mike (my brother-in-law) and Nick from work ended up both coming in at the same time and tying!

I just wore an old Cubs Jersey and Cap and went as a baseball player to the party (next year I am thinking a couples costume for Dave and I... I gave him warning, so I better start thinking now to make sure it is good!)

There we a few other games and a lot of fun, the party was a big hit!
