David's 15th Birthday!

My younger brother David had his fifteenth birthday at the beginning of March, in my family it is normal for the family to go out to dinner together on the actual birthday and then on Sunday we all get together and do gifts and cake. David decided he wanted to go to Pizza Factory (I love that place!) so we all got together for dinner. After we ate and everyone left, Dave and I decided to make sure David had a good rest of his birthday (Dave is big on making sure everyone has a wonderful birthday and thought David needed to do more!) So we took him and went out looking for something fun to do :)

This blurry picture is David at our destination, black light mini golf! I didn't use a flash for this picture so you all could see what it really looked like with the black light. We ended up having so much fun, everything was glowing, the golf balls, the clubs, the crazy murals on the walls and of course our clothes!

I yelled "quick my camera is dying, smile!" and this is what I got...
With the flash on it doesn't look nearly as cool as it really was but I wanted to get a picture where you can actually make out what it is:)
Dave won our first round of normal mini golf and David won the second round of "you can't use your golf club you can only throw the ball and use your hands to hit the ball" we also decided that we should all go at the same time instead of taking turns, so there was a lot of running during that second game:)

We ended the night with Sub Zero ice cream and then David came back to our place to play games (clue and life!) and then he stayed the night. It was a super fun birthday! David, Dave and I had a great time, I'm glad Dave made sure to make it such a great day!

Amber's Birthday

This year for my birthday Dave wanted to make it extra special, It was my golden birthday after all (how old I was turning matched the date I was born on. I turned 23 on the 23rd) So we went to Salt Lake and stayed at a Hilton for a week! It was really nice and we had a really fun time, there are so many fun options in Salt Lake that we always had something to do! One of the things that we did was go to the aquarium.

Dave and I had a great time at the aquarium, it was in an old converted shopping center, so it wasn't super large but we still had fun!

Dave trying to convince me that we should get a sea slug as a pet.... Well not really but I bet this is the face he would make if he were to try! He would say 'See Amber he is really nice and we could put him in the back yard...' The answer of course would be 'No! Now go wash you hands" :)

They had a bunch of interactive things you could do there. One of Dave's favorites was the simulation of what an electric eel would feel like, there were two metal dots and when you touched both at the same time it would give you a shock. It wasn't pleasant but Dave had a strange fascination with it and kept going back and touching it! This picture was after about the fifth time he got shocked...

We had a great time on my birthday trip! Now I'm off to start planning our Anniversary :)
