Halloween 2013

This year's costume had a little more chest hair than normal, but I had a swashbuckling good time!

We Didn't See Any Berry Bushes...

We went to Knotts Berry Farm during one of the days we were in California! I had never been and it has been years since Dave had been. I'm not a big roller coaster fan but I have been trying to be more open to stuff like that, so when we went, I decided I would go on everything they went on...  

Because we went on a Wednesday during the off season, there were no lines, we were able to walk onto every ride.  We also got a really good deal on tickets, so everything worked out in our favor!

The ride I was the most afraid of was the Xcelerator... I saw it from across the park and thought to myself "I know I said I would go on everything but... maybe not that"  But I bit the bullet and decided to do it, the first time I kept my eyes closed but by the forth time we did it, I was a pro!

Once we saw these, we knew that we had found the perfect way to honor that request

There were a few rides that would get you pretty wet, luckily it was warm enough that we didn't mind.. too much. Everyone got pretty wet at one time or another (except me!) but Jimmy and David really were the ones to get the most soaked :)

Yeah, we went to Lego Land.

Dave and I, along with my brothers Jimmy and David went down to California last week. We were going to watch the League of Legends world championships (more on this later) but because we were driving we wanted to have some extra fun (all driving and no exploring makes for some cranky people)! Jimmy had never been to California before and seeing as he and David are big Lego fans, we decided to go to Lego Land!

We went through their small 'factory' where we got to see how they make Legos, it was really interesting

David was tired that morning and as we were leaving the factory, he yawned. One of the workers came up to us concerned that we weren't having fun! Once we reassured her we were in fact having a great time and were big Lego fans, she gave us a behind the scenes tour!

We got to see the plastic the make Legos with and we even got to stand behind the roped off area, as the Legos came off the assembly line we got to each take one! (the ones that we watched being made!)

Lego Land's big draw is just how cool everything is! We went on a few rides but we spent most of the day just looking!

David's favorite thing was this x-wing, it was made out of 5,335,200 Lego bricks, it weighs 23 tons and took thirty two model builders more then three months to build!

We went into Lego land knowing what to expect, lots of cool things to see and being fascinated by everything. Than meant we had a great time, I know some people think it can be boring or wouldn't be fun for adults but honestly we had a great time!
